Qualifications

Experience with numerous programs in the DOS and Windows 3.1,95, and 98 operating system environments. Some familiarity with the Macintosh environment, also. Programs experienced with include

Duties
Investigate criminal offenses, develop and maintain a criminal records file in Access, serve arrest warrants, investigate traffic accidents, research, and perform general patrol duties. Coordinate TIBRS and recordkeeping activities with the state of Tennessee. Prepare documentation to be used in court (transcriptions, drawings, etc.). Certified Basic Communications Officer instructor teaching dispatch skills in accordance with current E911 regulations. Developing an automated system to provide immediate information for officers and ease record maintenance.

Seventh Judidical District Drug Task Force, P.O. Box 493, Clinton, Tennessee 37716
Position: Secretary
Employed: January 1995 to May 1996

Duties
Word processed letters, documents, transcribed tapes, set up files, created and maintained files on forms, and created spreadsheets for various documentation. Began creating program for documentation and information retrieval. Assisted in rewriting Mutual Aid Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures. Generated bids and prepared grant requests and required documentation.

Employed: January 1991 to May 1992

Duties
Typed, filed, retrieved documents and drawings from files and RIMS; set up meetings and compiled meeting minutes; document distribution; performed word processing tasks, including tables, graphs, procedures, weekly and monthly reports; and set up and maintained files and reports in dBase III Plus. Familiar with equation editors. Assisted in workhour reconciliation of Project Work List (PWL) accounts using charts to document cost overruns; and provided assistance with computer software programs to other employees throughout the plant often at the request of Information Services.

Position: Deputy Sheriff (three years in dispatch, three years on the road)
Employed: November 1984 to January 1991

Duties
Investigated criminal offenses, set up and maintained criminal warrants file in POSSEE program, instructed report writing and domestic violence classes, transported prisoners, served warrants, fulfilled court orders, and performed various other general patrol duties. Prepared documentation to be used in court. Dispatch duties included handling NCIC computer operations, answering numerous administrative and emergency telephone lines, handling radio communications on four highband channels, and documenting complaints and responses as they were called in and dispatched to appropriate units.

New Mexico Judicial Council and Judicial Standards Commission, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Position: Executive Secretary/Bookkeeper
Employed: December 1983 to May 1984

Duties
Once a busy office that analyzed court procedures and proposed administrative solutions to streamline the New Mexico Judicial system, the duties have been relegated to other state agencies. The Standards Commission provided a confidential investigative means for citizens to lodge complaints against persons in the judicial system. Handled confidential correspondence, complaints, and legal documents; maintained bookkeeping records on line-budget state ledger; compiled meeting minutes; set up monthly council meetings; compiled an index on all minutes from prior meetings; and maintained the index. Assisted with mass mailings and answered telephones.

Tennessee Valley Authority, 400 W. Summit Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee
Position: Clerk-Stenographer
Employed: June 1980 to September 1983

Duties
Maintained correspondence logs; open items lists on Jacquard word processing equipment; composed standard nontechnical correspondence; distributed, tracked, and transposed engineering comments; processed incoming and outgoing drawings; and updated computer printouts in the Nuclear Engineering Branch (NEB) on Westinghouse contracts for Sequoyah and Watts Bar Nuclear Plants. Assisted in Nuclear Licensing Division with Nucelar Regulatory Commission microfiche, mandates, procedure files, and log maintenance. Key in recommending changes for production and turnaround timeframe improvements.
